Say Goodbye to 2011

Look at this sweet boy taking a nap in his crib for the first time!

Uncle Derek, Aunt Holly and Tanner made it in to visit and meet Weston for New Year's. We were quite excited to see them. Aunt Holly just ate him up and Tanner was pretty fond of him as well.

A lit bit of our "Merry Little Christmas"!

Well Santa sure out did himself this year, getting Gracie what she asked for and he even filled Weston's stocking full to.

There wasn't a shortage of presents to go around and Gracie was excited to pose for a picture next to her mound!

Weston took a different approach to opening presents, letting his sister do all the work for him while he napped. I think he loved his Braves outfit from Daddy and Razorback hat from Mommy. He sure looked cute in it!

Even Daddy got some toys!

Aunt Shawn came over to meet her newest nephew and get some loves!

We spent the afternoon at Grandma's for lunch, more presents and visiting!

Last but certainly not least Papaw made it in for Christmas with us as well!
It was a wonderful Christmas and we were all so blessed to spend it with family!

Christmas Eve!

We are so excited for Christmas. Although Weston has no idea what is going on he is truly making this Christmas the most special yet, reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas.

It's a BIG sister thing!

Gracie has been just as goofy as ever and just loves wearing her "big sister" shirt every chance she gets!

She is always eager to hold, love on and feed her baby brother every chance she gets

Here the 2 of them are on the first day Weston took her to school. She was more excited about this than she was the first day of Kindergarten.

She even wakes up early in the morning so she can feed him before she has to get ready for school. Such a sweet big sister!

Weston's Homecoming!

We are busting out of here! Headed home and looking forward to some sleepless nights in our own bed!

Day 2 of Loving You!

I remember someone telling me before I got married "you will love Tim the least this very day, because through many events that will unfold in your marriage you will fall in love with him deeper". They were right and I felt myself fall in love with Tim all over again when I laid eyes on our son! Just amazes me that we have created yet another little miracle together!

All wrapped up and looking so cute I just had to get some pictures!

Of course Gracie was up for a few pictures before she and Daddy had to head home.

This evening had kind of a sad ending. Gracie burst into tears when it was time to go. She said and I quote "but I don't want to leave my brother, I just got him". After assuring her he would be coming home tomorrow she finally agreed to go home.

Day 1 of the rest of your life!

I’m left without a choice,
When I hear your tiny voice,
There’s nothing I can do,
To keep from loving you.

And when I smell your scent,
Like something Heaven-sent,
There’s nothing I can do,
To keep from loving you.

And when I see your face,
My heart is filled with grace,
There’s nothing I can do,
To keep from loving you.

Gracie just can't seem to get enough! She just wants to hold him in her arms forever, or at least until he has a poopy diaper. As much as she said she wanted to change his diapers she changed her mind rather quickly when it came time!

There was no keeping this proud Papaw away. He stopped by today for a visit and was just in heaven to hold his new little bundle of joy. Gracie was eager to inform Papaw of everything he had missed and how she was going to be the Greatest Big Sister ever!

Gracie is a BIG sister!

I believe Gracie was about 3 years old when she started asking for a baby brother or sister. So we did what any parents would do. For her Birthday we bought her a Baby Alive Doll. Of course she loved it but was still pretty persistent about having the real thing. There wasn't a Birthday or Christmas that went by after that she didn't ask to be a big sister. Heart breaking at times.

I remember when I was little asking my Mommy how she and Daddy had me. She always told me that my sister asked and asked for me so that is how I came along. Now I can tell my sweet son the same thing when he asks me some day.

This moment right here captured in these pictures has to be one of the greatest moments for all of us! So much love and so much to be thankful for!

I have a feeling Weston is the luckiest one of all, because he has an amazing BIG SISTER!

My heart grew by 2 feet today!

Well here is our sweet Weston Wyatt! Weighing in at 7 pounds 9 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. In good health and cute as can be. He entered the world at 3:07 pm on December 12th, 2011. He tops his sister at birth by a pound and an inch!

As a Mommy this has to be the absolute best feeling in the world!

Off to the Hospital!

. . .and were off to the hospital. The next post we put on the blog will be of our new addition!

Sweet little something under my tree!

I catch myself daydreaming sometimes as I pass by the Christmas tree. Just can't believe here pretty soon there will be two kiddos to photograph in front of it and two stocking filled Christmas morning underneath it!
Feeling so thankful and blessed this Holiday Season, that is for sure!

Gracie's Christmas Program

Look at her up there just belting it out! All the kiddos did great and it was pretty cute to watch as well!

Gramma, James and Ashlynn were also able to make it for the show and these 2 sassy girls were not the least bit shy about striking a quick pose in front of the tree!
