Christmas Eve! Dec. 24th 2008

Christmas Eve Brian, James and Ashlynn came over to spend the night so we could all spend Christmas morning together. It was fun aside from the fact everyone was feeling a little under the weather and we were up quite late getting everthing together for the kids!

"Pink Spa-cool Pin-cess shoes" Dec. 20th, 2008

Gracie made a trip with me to the mall today. I had to pick up some shoes and
I told her we could walk through her section just to look. Next thing I heard was Gracie saying "Oh, my gosh mom! I have to have them!". I turned around and she was holding up a pair of pink sparkling princess shoes. Thinking as quick as I could on how I was going to get her out of the store without those shoes I told her we would have to go tell Santa about these shoes. She marched straight over to his stand in the mall, and when it was her turn she approached him with both hands on her hips. She thanked him for her fish last year. Waited for him to ask her what she wanted and without hesitation she blurted out "I Want Pink Spa-Cool Pin-cess Shoes". It was the cutest thing and boy was she ever serious about it!

Uncle Derek Comes to Visit! Dec.19th 2008

Well Uncle Derek came in for a few days to hang out. We weren't able to get out and do to much considering the blizzard and sub-zero temperatures! We still had a nice visit though. Gracie even got to open a present early from Uncle D and was quite excited about that!

The tree is up, finally! Dec.14th 2008

Well we finally got our tree up! Unfortunately the move delayed everything, including our usual Christmas decorating. Gracie was starting to get quite upset when she realized everyone had a Christmas tree up at there house except for her. She was starting to think Santa would not come visit her if she didn't have one. It was heart breaking! The tree was the first things we moved in though. We always have a themed tree, some what. This year it is Gracie's tree, so of course it is pink, purple and blue! James and Ashlynn came over to help decorate as well!

Gobble! Gobble! It's Turkey Time!

Well we had quite the crowd for Thanksgiving! Nanny, Aunt Shawn, Austin and Britany came up from Arkansas. Uncle Derek came in from Kansas City and Uncle Brian, James and Ashlynn joined us as well. We were quite excited not only to have everyone in, but to be able to celebrate our first holiday in our new house. It was wonderful! We weren't officially moved in yet so no one could spend the night in the new house, but we were able to have Thanksgiving Dinner and all the festivities in the new house. It was truly a blessing in so many ways!
