Dowtown Halloween Festivities!!!
As we do every year we went trick or treating downtown. Jessica and Jersey also went with us. It was a good time and gave Gracie yet another chance to dress up in her costume which she was excited about. It has been a fun filled weekend so far and its not even Halloween yet!
Costume Party at Preschool!
All dressed up for the party!!! Gracie informed me when she got home from Pre-school today that she is "Fancy Nancy", but Fancy Nancy is dressed up as a Fairy Princess for Halloween. I think she was getting a little frustrated that not everyone knew who Fancy Nancy was. So there you have it she is now a Fairy Princess!
Mr. Pumpkin!
A beautiful day, A beautiful life
As I stare at these pictures of my daughter on the computer screen I see so much of my Mommy. It just amazes me. I remember when Gracie was just an infant and I would always wonder what she would look like at different ages and now that she has turned into this little girl (seems like over night) I just sit back in amazement. She makes me smile, laugh and just makes life a little sweeter every day!
Gracie and I love this song and preform it quite well in the living room, jumping on the bed or cruising down the road. The lyrics remind me of us!
You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile
Happy Boo to You!
Gracie and I went to work tonight! We decided we needed to make some special treats for her Pre-school friends. I saw the cutest cupcakes in a magazine a few weeks ago so we tried our best to copy them. They actually turned out well and were pretty yummy! They are little ghosts, for those of you who can't tell!
Cooking 101 with Gracie Mae!
Now that the kitchen is all put back together Gracie is able to get back to one of her favorite things to do, cooking! Last night Gracie decided we needed to make some chocolate chip cookies, and as she usually does Gracie put her own twist on the cookies. They turned out even more yummy than usual. She continues to amaze me at how much she is growing up. She cracked the eggs all by herself, and does it better than Mommy. We have some fun cooking adventures planned for Haloween as well she is real excited about! we are starting work on her Fancy Nancy costume tonight, so that should be pretty interesting. Tim also started his training, in Salt Lake City, yesterday for his new job position. We are quite proud of Daddy for all his hard work! We are also counting down the days till we get to see him next. It has been pretty tough around here with out him, but know that it will all be worth it. we met with the realtor yesterday as well and hope to be listed VERY soon. I am beyond excited and the house has come a long way from what we started with. Asking everyone to pray for a quick and smooth sell, so we can head down south and put our little family back together ASAP!
Little Miss Pink Sleeping Beauty was give out after a long day of helping Mommy around the house and cooking. I think the belly of cookies probably helped as well. When she said her prayers last night she prayed for every member of the family as she usually does but added in a few extras. She prayed for the house to sell, that her little friend down the street would come over and play again and that Mommy would let her make some more yummy cookies! She makes me smile!
Wedding Memory
I spent the evening with a big box of pictures and lots of memories that filled it. As I look back and think of my wedding day the 2 things I am most thankful for are my wonderful husband and my Mother. Many years ago when my Mom battled cancer she had two wishes. To see her daughters graduate and to see them get married. Those 2 wishes of hers were granted. It was the most incredible feeling in the world when the doors to the sanctuary were opened on my wedding day. At the end of the isle sat my Mother, grinning ear to ear! My wedding was the last time my sister, father, mother and I were all together before her passing (December of 2005). I can not put into words the feeling I get when I reflect back on my wedding day. It truly was a magical day not only for Tim and I, but for my Mommy as well.
Look who's 1!
